Who is DVD?
We started our company by accident. It all started in my wife's local coffee shop when
we installed a 19" LCD TV to promote some products in our shop. Of course like any
business, it is difficult to communicate all of the information that you would like to your
customers. We thought running full color ads on the monitor could speak for us and
entertain the customers while they were standing in line or waiting for their order.
We were approached with the idea of advertising other businesses on our monitor and
we thought it would be a win/win situation for everyone involved. We (the host) get to still
advertise our specials, but can work local advertisers (mostly our customers) in the loop
and everyone benefits.
We figured if our little Coffee Shop could attract advertisers, we could provide even a
greater service in areas where there was even more traffic. Therefore, we now look for
new hosts and new advertisers every day. One of our goals in opening a small business
was to serve our community and this gives us another way to do it.
Our hosts get free ads and a portion of the income without any investment or obligation
to sell ads. The advertisers get a great value for their marketing dollar compared to
other media options. We have the opportunity to run a business that utilizes our
creativity and business knowledge to provide a service to help connect businesses and
new customers.
